We are delighted to announce that we have recently secured a top national honour for our family-run business. Ulwell Holiday Park has been awarded a prestigious five-star grading by VisitEngland after assessors made a detailed inspection of our facilities and services.
The park achieved excellence in all respects, but it was our grounds team that deserved a special mention! The assessors said they were to be congratulated on the high standards of maintenance they uphold.
Tribute was also paid to the teams responsible for keeping the park spotlessly neat and tidy, including the “immaculate” amenities building used by touring guests.
Ulwell Holiday Park has been owned by the Orchard and Scadden families for over 40 years, and our MD, Kevin Orchard said everyone was delighted at the park’s new five-star status:
“We feel both proud and humbled to have been awarded VisitEngland’s highest grading achievable by holiday parks in Britain,” said Kevin.
“What makes it extra special is that assessors look not just at the quality of the park’s facilities, but also at the friendliness, hospitality and warmth of welcome extended to visitors.
Delivering this is very much in the hands of our park team, so they must take a big share of the credit for ensuring that guests always enjoy the best possible experience.
We are already receiving bookings for next year, and the majority of our guests are once again either repeat visitors or coming as the result of a personal recommendation,” he added.

Guest facilities at the park include an indoor pool popular with both youngsters and grown-ups, an adventure play park, sports field, and enclosed dog exercise meadow.
There is also a recently opened beer garden at The Village Inn which is a favourite with both park visitors and local residents, and where local produce is a main focus of the menu.
The garden provides all-natural surroundings with a choice of outdoor seating areas, including intimate tables tucked away in the woodland where native trees provide wildlife habitats.
