The busy Victorian seaside town of Swanage has many attractions for all the family to enjoy during a stay at our caravan and camping park. The blue flag beach is the perfect place to while away a sunny afternoon, while the kids paddle and play in the sand. The restored pier is a hit with visitors and the town is popular among watersports and diving enthusiasts. Seasonal boat trips are available for groups wanting to explore the area by sea.

The popular town of Poole is easily accessible from our campsite in Swanage. Take the chain ferry from Studland to Sandbanks and spend the day exploring the picturesque harbour and bustling quay. It’s easy to while away a couple of hours taking in the views. Sit on the harbour wall and watch the boats come and go.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can stop for a bite to eat or a drink as the sun goes down. Or, you could venture into the town centre to explore the shopping centre, which features popular top national brands.

There are plenty of fishing and sightseeing trips to choose from, including ferry rides to Brownsea Island. Other attractions include watersports lessons, Upton Country Park and Tower Park entertainment complex.

Out and About

There is so much to discover and experience around picturesque Purbeck; gateway to the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site.

Take a trip on a steam train to historical Corfe Castle, enjoy walks along the spectacular coastline and National Trust countryside and why not try out some bird watching, fishing, water sports or even sandcastle building… all within three miles of the Park.

You can abandon the car for the entire holiday if you wish since the park is a mere mile and a half from the bustling Seaside town centre of Swanage, where many interesting events are held and this includes the Folk Festival, the Swanage Blues Festival, Lifeboat Week and Swanage Carnival. It is even less than that to the sandy blue flag family beaches.

  • A lovely quiet site

    Andy Blackwell

A lovely quiet site, nice warm amenities with good sized shower cubicles, shop not open yet as it’s too early but the local pub is ideal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you’re reasonably fit you can walk into Swanage but the bus service is great so why would you want to. Overall a very nice break, we will be back.
