We are seeking a motivated individual to join our leisure team on a full time basis. This is a shared role and will comprise of a mix of lifeguarding and holiday park maintenance duties.

We are looking for a full time lifeguard and maintenance operative to join the team at Ulwell Holiday Park in Swanage. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safety of our guests whilst they make use of the facilities. These include an indoor pool with slide and toddler splash pool. The pool is open year round for holiday park guests as well as members of the local community.
In addition to ensuring the safety of our guests, you will also be responsible for some maintenance around the park. Customers safety is our utmost priority. You must have high standards and help us maintain our excellent reputation.
Desired experience
Preferably, applicants will have previous lifeguard experience and hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, however training can be given for both aspects of the role for the right candidate. The successful candidate must be hard working, diligent, approachable and committed to creating a safe environment for customers enjoying our leisure facilities. You should have an excellent understanding of relevant health and safety procedures and have proven experience within a pool maintenance role.
We take great pride in our customer service. As such, we’re looking for confident individuals who are comfortable talking to visitors. You will be required to correct pool users behaviour, where necessary in a polite and friendly manner.
Job duties
- Ensure pool users are safe and acting in accordance with the pool rules
- Ensure the pool, toilets and changing area are maintained to a high standards
- Make sure swimmers adhere to strict health and safety measures whilst using the pool and surrounding area
- Carry out general maintenance tasks around the holiday time

Job Type: Full time. Will include some weekend and bank holiday work. Shifts include Morning, Afternoon and Weekends.
Salary: Competitive rate of pay DOE
Experience: Previous lifeguard experience and qualifications preferred. Training can be given to the right candidate
