Outdoor cinema events in Dorset 2022
There are a number of outdoor film screenings taking place across Dorset this summer. Whether you’re looking for a unique experience with the children or a romantic date night with your other half, a night spent watching a film under the stars is a magical experience that you won’t forget! The venues are are all within driving distance of our holiday park in Swanage, meaning you can head home, warm up and head to bed after a fulfilled evening.

We’re looking forward to an exciting programme of outdoor cinema events at Durlston Country Park in Swanage. This popular family attraction is set in a scenic location on the Jurassic Coast with far reaching views across Swanage Bay. Over the next couple of months there will be a selection of screenings for all ages to enjoy as part of the Purbeck film festival. Younger members of the family can look forward to Encanto – Disney’s latest hit production!
Bring your own rugs and picnic to enjoy in this beautiful setting. Guests are also advised to bring a torch.

Enjoy some of best of the silver screen beneath the stunning backdrop of Lulworth Castle. Once home to 17th century kings, this historic venue is the perfect setting to cuddle down and watch a film in the great outdoors. Lulworth castle lights up in beautiful colours for the event, creating a wonderful atmosphere and some incredible photo opportunities.
The Luna Bar will be open throughout the evening alongside a number of gourmet food stands. Sample a delicious selection of food and drinks whilst you lay back and watch the film beneath the stars. Kingston Lacy will be hosting its first outdoor cinema event in association with Luna Cinema this summer. Watch a selection of classics in the stunning grounds of this lavish stately home that has been built in the style of a Venetian palace. Sit back on the carefully manicured lawns and enjoy a picnic while watching the big screen. This beautiful setting is the ideal place to enjoy a romantic date night or evening out with family and friends.
Tickets are available to book now via the Luna Cinema website. The Luna Bar will be serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including prosecco, wines and spirits. 3 films will be shown at Littledown in Bournemouth over the August bank holiday weekend. This sports and leisure venue is set in 47 acres of beautiful parkland and is perfect location for a family evening out. Gates open at 6.45pm with films due to start shortly after sunset. Pack a picnic and some camping chairs and enjoy a fun-filled family night out.
VIP deckchairs are available as an additional extra if you want a comfier experience with complimentary popcorn provided. Free parking is available in the main car park and there are toilet facilities.
