Television Instructions
All of our televisions work via freesat, this is via a separate box plugged in to the television as this provides the best television reception in this area.
We have a range of different manufacturers of televisions and freesat boxes in our holiday homes however they all work in basically the same way.
Both the television and the freesat box have different remotes. The remotes should have the manufacturer of the television or freesat box on the remote itself if you are not sure which is which.
Televisions
To turn the televisions on and off use the power button on the television remote. If it does not automatically pick up a channel then it may need to be set to HDMI (HDMI 1 or 2 or Freesat).
Press the source button it will either look like this or say the word ‘source’. It will bring up a list and you will need to scroll up or down to the HDMI, HDMI2 or Freesat option and press OK.
Volume can be turned up or down using the television remote. Do not change channel using the television remote.
Freesat boxes
First of all make sure the freesat box is turned on – if it isn’t use the power button on the freesat remote – most of the freesat boxes will have a red light on if it is off and a green/yellow light when it is on.
Please note that Bush freesat boxes have a blue light when OFF and no light when ON. Then make sure the television is set to HDMI
To change channel use either the channel up and down buttons (P+/P-, C+/C-) or press the Guide button which will take you to a digital tv guide. You can also enter the channel number which works in a 101 = BBC format.
Volume can be turned up and down using the freesat remote.
