Spooky Halloween Trail on Swanage Pier – 21st – 29th October

If you’re seeking a family activity in Swanage this  October half term, the Swanage Pier is offering a scarily exciting  Halloween Trail! Prepare yourselves for a thrilling journey as the trail guides you and your family across the pier, where spooky surprises and ghoulish friends await at every turn! The pier comes alive with a spooky ambience, setting the perfect scene for a fun-filled Halloween activity.

As you navigate through the trail, keep a watchful eye out for the various ghoulish characters lurking about, each with their own name! Make sure you make a note of their names on the activity sheet before heading back to the pier gift shop! At the gift shop,  you can exchange your activity sheets for some frighteningly good goodies – we can guarantee there will be no tricks, only treats!

To participate in this thrilling Halloween Trail in Swanage, the entry fee is £1.50 per trail – which is perfect for families looking to participate in the Halloween activities in Swanage whilst staying on a budget. Family Fright Night – 27th October (18:00-20:30)

Get ready for an unforgettable family-friendly Halloween event in Swanage at ‘Family Fright Night’! Family Fright Night promises an exciting selection of spine-tingling and exciting activities that will immerse families in the spooky spirit of the season. Throughout the event, there will also be plenty of sweet treats and refreshments available. Please note, if your child has any allergies or dietary needs, we recommend that you contact the event providers prior to the night to ensure that there will be something available for your child to enjoy.

Family Fright Night’s activities:

Pumpkin carving – Pumpkin carving is a traditional Halloween favourite, allowing you and your little ones to transform ordinary pumpkins into spookily-cool masterpieces!

Dracula’s disco – Dracula’s disco is sure to get everyone moving and grooving to a few ghoulish tunes. This Halloween disco in Swanage is an activity for the whole family enjoy!

Spooky Soft Play – For the youngest members of your family, Family fright Night has a dedicated soft play area,  which provides a safe and entertaining space for young children to play, slide, and interact with other little monsters!

Tricky treasure hunt – Families can embark on a hunt for hidden treasures that are dotted across the venue! Perhaps if you’re lucky, you’ll event find a few tasty treats hidden about!

Face Painting – We reckon that no Halloween event is fully complete without a bit of face painting! Skilled face painters are available to transform your child’s face into a spooky creature or a beloved character, which always makes for brilliant holiday photo!

There will also be a fancy dress competition on the night of the event! So grab your spookiest costumes and dress up together to be in with the chance of winning a fantastic prize! (Top tip – The Addams family is always a fantastic costume option for those looking to participate in the Halloween festivities!).

Halloween Crafts on Swanage Pier – 26th October (10:30-14:00)

For a creative and engaging activity for your little ones to enjoy this October half term, we highly recommend that you make your way to Swanage Pier on the 26th of October for their exciting Halloween Crafts event! It’s the perfect opportunity for children to unleash their creativity and dive into a world of Halloween-themed crafts. Starting at 10:30am, children will have the chance to immerse themselves in a variety of crafts revolving around the spooky season. From carving pumpkins to crafting eerie masks and creating creepy decorations, there will be no shortage of stimulating activities for your children to enjoy whilst on holiday in Swanage!

    A lovely quiet site, nice warm amenities with good sized shower cubicles, shop not open yet as it’s too early but the local pub is ideal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you’re reasonably fit you can walk into Swanage but the bus service is great so why would you want to. Overall a very nice break, we will be back.

    We have just returned back from our weeks stay at Ulwell Holiday Park with our 2 small children and dog. It was an absolute brilliant week! The site has everything you need, and more! A lovely comfy pub on site for drinks and a bowl of chips, a small shop, swimming pool, large play are with park, and the bus stops right outside.. what more could you want

    We have just returned after a brilliant Easter break. Couldn’t fault anything at all and we didn’t want to leave. We didn’t visit the pub but the shop is stocked with local produce and essentials. The facilities are great and the location convenient. Our van was spotless and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back
