We highly recommend attending Swanage Lifeboat Week during your stay at Ulwell Holiday Park. There’s plenty to see and do over the course of the week – with an action-packed programme of activities and events to keep the whole family entertained. If previous years are anything to go by you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding how to spend your camping or caravan holiday by the coast!
All money raised goes towards the RNLI, to help ensure the team of volunteers are able to continue their vital work saving lives at sea.

The RNLI will have a presence in the town throughout the week and will help educate locals and visitors about beach and water safety. There will be a number of coordinated displays, which will give you the opportunity to see the crew in action. The lifeboat station will also be open to visitors, providing an up-close look at the all-weather Shannon class lifeboat. Inside you can learn more about the service’s heritage and the important role they play around the UK.
For the runners among us, The Swanage Lifeboat Week is holding a fantastic coastal run this year! The Lighthouse Loop is a 5k circular run, which offers runners with challenging hill climbs and stunning views over Swanage Bay and Durlston! The Lighthouse Loop is part of the larger ‘Purbeck Trail Series’, which is annual running event held in Swanage!

Where to stay
Ulwell Holiday Park is situated in an idyllic location on the outskirts of Swanage – within walking distance from the town centre and beach. We’re perfectly placed for enjoying Swanage Lifeboat Week festivities and other attractions during a family or couple’s holiday.
We have plenty of accommodation to choose from including touring and camping pitches, well-equipped holiday caravans and wooden camping pod. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, on-site bar and restaurant, well stocked shop and children’s play area with recreational field.
