If you’re looking for a café to stop off to replenish and recharge after a long day at the beach, then you’re in luck! Swanage is home to a wide array of cafes offering mouth-watering treats, home-cooked light bites and aromatic coffees. Join us as we take you on a virtual tour around some of the best cafes in Swanage. All are within easy reach of Ulwell – our popular holiday park in Swanage.

Java Independent Coffee House

The Java Independent Coffee House is a must-visit for coffee lovers and music enthusiasts alike! This cosy café boasts an impressive selection of loose-leaf teas, and speciality coffees, including single-origin brews and expertly crafted hot and cold drinks. There’s also a delicious selection of home-baked cakes, light bites, and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options!

The Coffee House has a welcoming ambience filled with jazz memorabilia and art. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a warming cup of coffee and a slice of cake.

The Cabin Café & Bar

With incredible panoramic views across the beach and Swanage bay, The Cabin is the perfect spot to enjoy a light bite or drink.  This seaside café is hugely popular for its beachfront location and fresh offering – one of their most popular meals is their seafood basket and fresh crab salad.

The Cabin has a fully licensed and popular bar, which stocks a wide range of alcoholic drinks, including  locally brewed ciders, beers and wine. Soak up the beautiful weather whilst sipping on a glass of something bubbly at this fantastic café in Swanage!

Love Cake Café and Deli Emporium

Love Cake Café is widely known for its indulgent selection of homemade cakes, from classics such as Victoria Sponge to more unusual, sweet treats. Although Love Cake Café’s cakes are the main attraction at the charming café in Swanage, Love Cake Café also serves a wide range of coffees, teas, lunches and cocktails!

Love Cake Café is only a stone’s throw from Swanage Beach, making it the perfect place to stop off after a stroll along the beachfront. We highly recommend treating yourself to a slice of Love Cake Café’s famous carrot cake or perhaps go for a more traditional choice such as a pot of tea accompanied by a freshly baked scone slathered in plenty of jam and cream!

The Salt Pig Too

If you’re looking to try some artisanal food whilst on holiday in Swanage, we recommend visiting The Salt Pig Too! This unique establishment prides itself on offering a wide range of incredible breakfast and lunch options prepared with the freshest of ingredients from its own private kitchen garden. We recommend visiting this special café in Swanage for one of their signature sausage rolls or a delightful charcuterie board made with organic and gourmet products.

The Village Inn

If you’re looking for a fresh cup of tea or coffee whilst on-site at Ulwell Holiday Park, then we recommend popping into our family-run bar and restaurant, The Village Inn. The Village Inn serves a wide selection of drinks, throughout the day. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, meaning that you can enjoy a refreshing beverage whilst making the most of the sunny weather!

What our guests say

  • A lovely quiet site

    Andy Blackwell

A lovely quiet site, nice warm amenities with good sized shower cubicles, shop not open yet as it’s too early but the local pub is ideal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you’re reasonably fit you can walk into Swanage but the bus service is great so why would you want to. Overall a very nice break, we will be back.

  • Super swimming pool

We have just returned after a brilliant Easter break. Couldn’t fault anything at all and we didn’t want to leave. We didn’t visit the pub but the shop is stocked with local produce and essentials. The facilities are great and the location convenient. Our van was spotless and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back
